The Taffey Pop Kids are on a mission:  to protect young children from “stranger danger.”

Emotionally impacted by the Atlanta Child Murders of the early 80’s and also by the 1996 kidnapping and murder of Amber Haggerman, The Taffey Pop Kids searched for a way to help prevent a similar tragedy from happening again.  The Taffey Pop Kids wrote the first children’s picture book detailing how young children could recognize and defense against “stranger danger.” 

Not content just to write a book, the Taffey Pop Kids enlisted the help of experienced teachers to develop a presentation using the book as its central focus.  The teachers have already successfully delivered the presentation to elementary school students in school districts throughout Texas.  The results have exceeded expectations.  The young people resonate with the characters in the book and “get the message.”
